Saturate USA Launches at Highlands Church!

On their website, Saturate USA is described as a 'God sized vision to take the love of the Gospel to 120 million households by the end of 2027'. Today they are approximately 26 percent along the way to their objective. Saturate USA is a donation funded project operated out of Monroe, NC under the management of a 14 year old non-denominational organization known as Christ For All Peoples. The project has divided the country up by zip codes and asks churches to adopt one or more zip codes and hang a “Gospel Gift” on the door of every home in their selected zip codes.  

Our involvement in the project started when Pam Meyer heard about Saturate USA on American Family Radio. Last fall she described the project to our Bible Study class, which resulted in a decision to go through the steps to gain approval to sign up for 72715, which incidentally is also our mission field. Just before last Thanksgiving, Saturate USA delivered a 500 pound pallet of free materials for us to assemble and distribute.   

Each 'Gospel Gift' consists of a professionally produced DVD with the Jesus story from three different perspectives in multiple languages, a Gospel tract that asks 'Would You Like to Know God Personally?', and an invitation from Pastor Robert to visit our church. Between now and Easter, we will be adding a Highlands Church Lenten Season calendar of events from Ash Wednesday through Easter.   

During the past 6 weeks, our Bible Study class has assembled over 2000 Gospel Gift packets, and placed the correct number of packets into green Highlands Church bags (donated by the HUMMERS) for each route of approximately 50 homes. We now have 44 of the eventual 150+ route bags ready for distribution.   

Participating in this project is very simple. Watch the video above that describes the process for checking out a bag, delivering the contents, and checking the bag back in. A vital aspect of this project is prayer. We ask that with each bag you hang on a door you silently pray that somehow God will use the contents of this gift to truly touch someone’s heart.
